Memories made Quarter Finals in BlueCat!
Memories is inching it’s way up. Quarter Finals is the top 5% (225 out of 4500 entries). I have my fingers and toes crossed it makes it at least to the next level. I seem to bottom out at Quarters all the time. 😛Â

New Review on short, “The Creation of Oz”
Again I have to thank the lovely and talented, Janet Goodman-Clarke for showcasing another one of my shorts on Simply Scripts. This time it was, “The Creation of Oz”, reviewed by Michael O’Farrell. Click here for the REVIEW.
This short bombed in the NYCMM challenge I wrote it for, but I’d get over that pretty quick if someone filmed it. 🙂
2 New Shorts Added…
Nathan Green – Â a 14 page horror written for Simply Scripts October 2014 “OWC” One Week Challenge.
LOGLINE:Â When a woman struggling to deal with her recent separation buys a jacket from a thrift store, she inadvertently lets another bad man into her life.
The Creation of Oz – a 5 page historic fiction family film written for the first round of NYCMM’s 2014 Screenwriter’s Challenge.
LOGLINE: (period piece 1865) – When a deadly tornado threatens his aunt’s farm, an imaginative boy entertains his family with a fantastical story while they ride out the storm in the cramped quarters of an underground shelter.
Best Ensemble Comedy Screenplay!
MEMORIES is a FINALIST!!
August 2014
My feature screenplay, “Memories” was selected as a finalist for the Broad Humor Film Festival.
This small festival takes place in Venice, Ca. on September 6, 7 & 8. All broads, all comedy.
I raised money on a “Go Fund Me” campaign and I’m going to California!
LIST OFÂ FINALISTS
“Private Property”, OPTIONED
This is a non-exclusive option so it’s still available if anyone else wants to give it a shot.
One of the most important contributions to my growth as a writer is the website, Simply Scripts. Not only do they host a vast library of produced and unproduced screenplays to read, but their forums and occasional One Week Challenges (OWC’s), are great learning tools. SS member and outstanding writer, Janet Goodman-Clarke, opened a satellite site, “SHOOTIN’ THE SHORTS” (STS) where she and a handful of others review and showcase unproduced shorts in hopes of getting them produced. The review below is from “STS”.
Check out these two great sites: SHOOTIN’ THE SHORTSÂ / Â SIMPLY SCRIPTS

Thanks to the wonderful review by KP Mackie on STS, “Private Property” has been optioned. A Canadian filmmaker picked it up and plans on shooting it some time in fall of 2014. He has access to horses and a barn, which is the primary location. This script won 2nd place in a Movie Poet challenge. Really looking forward to seeing this filmed. I’ll post updates when I get them.
“The Wishing Tree”, OPTIONED
I’m very excited that “The Wishing Tree” has been picked up for production. I’ll post more details when they’re available. This story is a real tear jerker. Not usually my style of writing but I really love this one. Looking forward to seeing it  filmed.
This is an exclusive option so “The Wishing Tree” is no longer available for production by anyone else.
